Adding Posts

I have added a facility for registered users to submit posts, which means YOU can create posts (on any subject).

The form is available via the Submit A Post page.

You must be registered and logged in to use the form or your post will not be submitted.

All submitted posts will be held for my approval and I may edit them before adding them to the site.

You are invited to make posts about pretty-much any subject which may be of interest to residents and subscribers, but advertisements are not allowed* and controversial subjects will be carefully considered.
* Contact me for advertising enquiries… more info’ will be available shortly.

If you don’t see a suitable category just submit to “About Us” and I will create a new category to suit.

Please remember that this is a blog, not a forum, so posts should take the form of (complete) articles rather than simple questions… In order to allow a facility for general questions and comments I have created this post.

Once your post is added you can (and should) monitor for comments and answer any where possible/applicable.

Please use this facility responsibly.
Anybody making offensive posts or attempting to post advertisements will be banned from contributing (posts and comments) in the future.

(See our Terms And Conditions before posting).

The first person to try to use this facility had some problems with the form.

I have tested it successfully but I am unable to test all user roles fully, so I am currently trying to “debug” the software…

If you have problems with submissions please post a comment here and let me know what happened.

You can also add your entire post after your comment and I will publish it on your behalf.

I’m still trying to debug this facility…

Cllr Brian Claridge and Julian Powell have somehow managed to overcome the difficulties and are now making regular posts (thank you both), but other users still seem to be having problems :(

If either of you can explain how you did it I’d be most grateful!

Meanwhile, if anybody has problems, please let me know (add a comment here).

If you have a post to add and cannot manage it, please add it here (comment) and I’ll publish it for you :)

Sorry - it wouldn’t let me post this one.

Is it me, or is every other dog in Kingsway a Pitbull or similar?

It’s making me very nervous walking around as I haven’t seen one wearing a muzzle which they must wear if in public - and be on a lead.

I’m probably in a foul mood about it as one just lunged at me, and the owner had to more than restrain it. Luckily it was on a lead, but no muzzle! I’m going to start reporting them as it worries me with all the young children around. If my daughter was with me then, she wouldn’t have moved as quickly as I did. Does anyone know who I report them to?

Thanks (PS - I’m sure there are just as many responsible dog owners, so sorry if I have offended anyone)

    Hi redrobin,

Sorry about that. I’ve added the post here.

Would you please tell me if you used the form available from the link in the menu (this one) or the one in your “site admin area”?

  5. redrobin Says:

Hello - I used the link from the menu here.

    Thanks rr :)
