Road Trenches in Brize Avenue
Thursday, April 17th, 2014This is an extract of the second email I’ve sent to QUVL:
Turn left off Thatcham Avenue into Brize Avenue. New trenches have now appeared from the Barrett development across the road from this junction and on around the right bend.
The infill from these trenches is rapidly departing as is the infill around the raised manholes.
I don’t drive a 4×4, so perhaps for the benefit of us ordinary car drivers you could ask the appropriate contractor to do a better job backfilling these trenches?
If anyone else is getting fed up driving over these perhaps we could start some sort of petition to get them to do a better job!

Please bear with us until next week with Brize Avenue.
As noted in my entry today (here), the final surfacing will be installed next week, and these past few weeks we have had to re-excavate trenches dug by the developers and reinstate them to the satisfaction of County Highways, before being able to do the surfacing.
The aim is to have the surfacing complete next week - by 13 June.
Please see this post for more details.
