Kingsway - The Big Lunch (2013)
Created by JoeLHi,
And thank you to all of you who joined us for this afternoon’s ‘The Big Lunch’.
We hope you agree that it was a great day and unlike previous years the weather was very kind to us.
A special thank you to Dave Talbot for his organisation of the day and along with Steve Brooks they managed to secure substantial sponsorship from local firms and businesses without which Kingsway Residents’ Association wouldn’t have been able to stage the event. These sponsors included Quedgeley Urban Village Ltd, Quedgeley Parish Council, Oxbode Housing Association, Severnvale Housing, Bromford Living, Guinness Hermitage, Quedgeley Community Trust, The Capital Venue, Tesco, The Bumblebee and Stagecoach.
Thank you too to the other people (you know who you are), who helped to run the event and make it a great success.
Please let us have your thoughts on the event and whether you would like us to stage a similar one next year.
We are also keen to hear from you if you could help to run this or any other event for the KRA.
Thank you for helping make today the success that it undoubtedly was.
Joe Logan
On behalf of Kingsway Residents’ Association

Hi Joe,
Yes the day was fantastic, weather was beautiful (it’s about time we had a break on that front) and the turnout was excellent
Phoenix loved the donkey rides, the band were great, and (IMHO) the face painter was fantastic!
I’m sorry I missed my old mate Barry Kirby’s spell in the stocks (Kudos to you Baz and to Fred Wood, Dave Talbot and anyone else who endured that)!
I must congratulate my fellow KRA Committee members who organised the whole thing, and to apologise for my personal lack of contribution (ill-health)
The day went very well indeed… I can’t wait to see how we top that next year
