Scouting is Coming to Kingsway
Created by Julie PrestonMy name is Julie Preston and I am trying to get Beavers, Cubs and Scout groups running in Kingsway. We have secured the hire of the school hall at Kingsway Primary School and have some funding to start running meetings.
If your son/daughter is interested in coming to a ‘Meet and Greet’ session, please contact me on 01452 724241 or you can e-mail me on [email protected] and I can provide you with the necessary information.
The ages for each group are as follows:
Beavers: 6 to 8 years
Cubs: 8 to 101/2 years
Scouts: 101/2 to 14 years
At the meeting we will be providing information about what Scouting is all about and what sort of activities we will try and organise.
Meetings are held during term time and we will also have access to District Events which can sometimes involve Fun Days, Chess Competitions, Science Workshops and Weekend Camps.
To make the group successful we obviously need children to join the organisation.
Having been involved in helping run Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at Quedgeley, I feel that it would be an enjoyable experience for any child.
